AFCAT 2021 Recruitment Notification: Indian Air Force (IAF) has invited applications for the group

A Gazetted Officer in the flight and ground duty (technical and non-technical) branches through Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 01/2021 / NCC Special ENTRY. Eligible men and women can apply for IAF-AFCAT-2021 from 01 December to 30 December 2020 on the official website of AFCAT www.careerindianairforce.cdac.in or www.afcat.cdac.in.


According to the AFCAT 1 2021 notification, the exam will be held on 20 February 2021 and 21 February 2021. The selected candidates in (AFCAT 2021) will be hired as commissioned officers in the flight and ground duty (technical and non-technical) branches.


The notification of AFCAT 2021 has been published, for the grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) and Short Service Commission (SSC) from 28 November to 04 December 2020 for courses commencing in January 2022. PC for Men - Candidates joining as PC officers will continue to serve till their retirement age according to their branch and rank.

SSC for men and women-The engagement period for Flying Branch is fourteen years from the date of commissioning of SSC officers. The initial tenure for SSC officers in Ground Duty branches will be for a period of ten years. A four-year extension may be granted subject to service requirements, availability of vacancies, willingness, suitability, and qualifications

AFCAT 2021 Salary:


Flying Officer - Rs. 56100-177500 at Pay Level-10, MSP Rs. 15500 (Flight cadets will get a fixed stipend of Rs 56,100 / - per month during one-year training)


AFCAT 2021 Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualification and Experience:


Flight Branch:


Graduation in any discipline from any recognized university with 60% marks in aggregate and 10 + in Mathematics and Physics with minimum 50% marks in any discipline from a recognized university with minimum three years degree course. Must pass the 2nd level. Minimum 60% marks or equivalent. Alternatively should have BE / B.Tech degree with minimum 60% marks or Candidates who have passed the examination with Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university Ho. Or equal to.


Ground Duty (Non-Technical Branches):

Administration: Passed 60% marks or equivalent from a recognized university or 10 + 2 and graduate degree (minimum three years degree course) in any discipline from Associate Membership Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society examination of Clear Section A&B. India from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.


Accounts - B.Com degree (minimum three-year degree course) from a recognized university with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.

Logistics - Graduate degree (minimum three-year degree course) in any discipline with 60% marks or equivalent or clear section from a recognized university or Associate of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized university Membership examination. With a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.


Ground Duty (Technical Branch):

Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) {AE (L)}: Candidates with minimum 50% marks at 10 + 2 level in Physics and Mathematics each and minimum four years degree in recognized engineering/technology undergraduate / integrated postgraduate qualification. A&B Examination of Associate Institution of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India by actual study with minimum 60% marks or equivalent in relevant subjects specified by University or Clear Section IAS.


Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical): Candidates should have passed 10 + 2 with 50% in Physics and Mathematics and Degree / Integrated Post Graduate in Engineering / Technology. Or A&B Examination of Associated Membership of Associate Member of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with minimum 60% marks in relevant subjects specified by the Indian Air Force or by the equivalent actual study.


NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch) (As per AFCAT 2020)


NCC Air Wing Senior Division 'C' certificate was acquired on or after 01 December 17. Minimum 60% marks in Mathematics and Physics on every 10 + 2. Graduation from a recognized university with a minimum of three years degree course in any discipline with minimum 60% marks or equivalent.

B.E. / B.Tech degree (four-year course) or equivalent of a recognized university or candidate who has passed the A and B examinations of Institutional Engineers and Institutional Engineers (India) or is an associate member of Aeronautical Society of India. Must be from a recognized university with at least 60% marks or equivalent.


AFCAT 2020 Age Limit:


Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years from 01 January 2022 i.e. birth between 02 January 1998 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive)

Ground Duty (Technical / Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years from 01 January 2022 i.e. Birth between 02 January 1996 to 01 January 2002 (both dates inclusive)
