The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) will most likely conduct the Gujarat board exams 2021 for students of classes 10 and 12 in May, as suggested by several media reports and the exact dates for the same will be released soonIt is speculated that the date sheet for the Gujarat board exams 2021 will be released by the end of next week on the official website of GSEB, gseb.org. Along with the date sheet, the instructions and guidelines for the exams will also be released.

The GSHSEB is likely to conduct the Gujarat board exams 2021 for classes 10 and 12 from two dates- May 10 and May 17. One of these two dates will be picked and the detailed timetable for the board exams will be released by next week.
The Gujarat board had announced the decision to postpone the board exams for this academic session in November 2020. This decision was taken to give students some extra time to prepare for the exams as no classroom studies were conducted this year due to the pandemic.

Number of exam centres increased

The number of examination centres for the Gujarat board exams 2021 has been increased this year from 5500 to 6700 to maintain social distancing norms set by the central government. The number of examination rooms has also been increased this year.

This year around 10.5 lakh students are likely to register for Class 10 board exams and 5.30 lakh students for class 12 board exams.

It has also been noted that around 60 percent of the examination centres are set to fall in rural areas.
The syllabus for students of classes 10 and 12 has also been reduced this year to relieve the students of some academic pressure caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The same move has been made by several state boards in view of the pandemic.It is also being speculated that there will be several changes made to the examination pattern of the Gujarat board exams 2021. The dates for the CBSE board exams 2021 have also been released. The examinations are set to begin on May 4.
