Sources said that Modi had ordered a partial lockdown in the country in the Modi cabinet met on Friday amid the Koro crisis. Modi has asked the Home Ministry to prepare a report on which cities and districts need lockdowns. Modi has also ordered to amend the guidelines issued by the Home Ministry. This will lead to more lockdowns in cities and districts than ever before.

After the Home Ministry submits the report by Monday, orders will be sent to the states through the Home Ministry to impose lockdowns in these districts and cities. Counting for the Assembly is underway in five states on Sunday. The counting of votes will also be completed so there is no major political event left.

Modi believes in official rule, so after the lockdown, the role of coordination with the states is to be played by the officials. Modi also had senior officials present at the cabinet meeting so that the officers would be mentally prepared and start doing homework from now on.
