If you get frequent mouth ulcers, it can reveal a lot about your internal health.  In some cases, it can also be a sign of serious health problems.  In such cases, you need to be careful as sometimes it can be a sign of serious conditions like ulcerative colitis and chronic disease.

Frequent mouth ulcers indicate health problems such as:

  bile imbalance

  poor bowel health

  insufficient sleep, stress

  flatulence, bloating and constipation

  weak immune system

lack of nutrition in the body

Bad eating habits (such as excessive consumption of spicy, oily, highly fried and sour foods)

 Home Remediesઃ

Gargle with Triphala or liquorice chutney regularly every day.  Once rinsed, keep the tea in your mouth for at least 2-3 minutes and then wash off.  Do this 4 to 5 times a day.

Clean the ulcer with a pinch of turmeric or liquorice powder daily.

After some time apply ghee and honey on the wounds.

Gargle with milk to reduce swelling and pain in wounds.

Chew on the soft leaves of amla.

After a while drink cumin, coriander and fennel tea.

  Include amla in the diet.

Take special care of these things if you have mouth ulcers

You should avoid sour and spicy foods until your mouth ulcers get better.

Minimize the consumption of garlic, chilli and ginger.

  Keep your mouth clean.

  Empty your bowels thoroughly daily.

Drink more water and stay hydrated.

 Special Note:

If even after doing all this you do not get any results, and you have persistent mouth ulcers, then you need to consult an Ayurvedic doctor.  This will ensure 2 to 3 months of diet, lifestyle changes and ayurvedic medicines to heal you internally.
